the lodge was spotlessly clean and had secure parking, which gave me peace of mind. the bed was incredibly comfortable and the rooms were well-lit and equipped with everything I needed. the location near Calais was ideal for me, and the hosts were lovely and accommodating. What I loved the most were the amazing facilities, especially the pool and jacuzzi. They were both warm and inviting, and made my stay even more enjoyable. Despite the hosts not speaking English on the phone, they went out of their way to find someone who could assist with my queries, which showed great thoughtfulness. Cons: Can't think of anything 🤷‍♀️.

Personally, I didn't find the presence of an oven in the room necessary.

The sofa beds in the second bedroom were uncomfortable for adults. The host didn't bother to come out of the house to let us in and had trouble explaining the gate code over the phone.
